Willis plays the role of Avery Garrett on the hit digital drama series The Bay.
Now, the show is in its fifth season, and several new episodes have been released. “It was super fun. We are one big family on The Bay. Any time we come together at work is so much fun,” she said. “Overall, we have great material to work on since it has been good.”

“To see all of these people that I’d worked with for so many years,” Willis continued, “It was really nice. It was really nice getting to give everybody such big hugs. I loved playing Courtney. That was such a big part of my life for such a long time. Even my family got involved. When I ended up getting it, my whole family was super thrilled because they loved everybody that I worked with over there.”

Soap Central: What was it about the film that made you want to jump on board? What made it special?
Willis: Well, number one is I love Lifetime. I’ve done a handful of movies that have been on Lifetime, and I love that they write strong characters for females. My character in this movie, in Mommy’s Little Princess, she runs her own business. And the other movies that I’ve done for Lifetime before that, I was a lawyer or I was a business owner. And I just love that they write strong characters for women. It’s so important.

Why and how did you get started in acting?
My favorite types of acting roles are strong women. I get to play much more interesting roles now that I’m older. I really love to get something that’s challenging. Keeps it interesting.
